Michael Andrew Law paints a Sparkling Expressive Julian Schnabel goes Pop Old Masters glitter history painting with mirror pigment and graffiti keywords for monumental collector wall, in oil, acrylic, glitter, and graffiti on canvas at 200×205 cm. The work re-imagines Édouard Manet's Olympia from the canon of human image-making: Olympia reclines on a cream bed while a servant in pink offers a bouquet; a black cat haunts the right edge. The nude is built in golden tan impasto under vertical white, red, and blue drips. Graffiti names Manet, Paris, Musée d'Orsay, Titian, Zola, and 1863; a projected "manet" signature blooms in neon block letters above "Olympia" and Michael Andrew Law's name. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Olympia, Manet, 1863, Paris, Orsay, Titian, Goya, Zola, Meurent, chatte surface as handwritten graffiti across the field. The palette aligns as Cream bedding and warm flesh against deep green-violet shadow; neon yellow, electric blue, hot pink, and green splatters; glitter grain across the whole field, carrying Scandal remembered as nightclub scripture—defiant, glittering, and impossibly loud for a salon nude. Michael Andrew Law built the image in oil and acrylic first, then showered glitter as a second skin—each flake a mirror so whoever stands before the canvas is written into the history painting. Where the source artist's mark matters, Michael Andrew Law used a projector to trace an accurate Manet signature before overpainting the field. Michael Andrew Law thinks the super-scale format—here at 200×205 cm—suits lobbies, private museums, and collector walls that can host a single thundering dialogue with art history. Published in What if Julian Schnabel goes Pop? : Michael Andrew Law Cheuk Yui A Retrospective Catalogue (ISBN 979-8509758133), the series rewards frontal viewing where glitter, impasto, and projected signatures turn the audience into a living footnote. Michael Andrew Law offers the painting as mirror, archive, and party in one enduring field.

The work re-imagines Lucian Freud Fat Sue / Benefits Supervisor Sleeping from the canon of human image-making: A monumental reclining nude—Freud's Benefits Supervisor Sleeping—fills the canvas in shimmering gold-brown flesh. "LUCIAN FREUD" and "FAT SUE" shout in dripping white capitals; the lower margin cites Benefits Supervisor Sleeping 1995. The dark ground lists London, Tate, Sotheby's, Big Sue, Bacon, and currency symbols. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Lucian Freud, Fat Sue, 1995, London, Tate, Sotheby's, Benefits Supervisor Sleeping surface as handwritten graffiti across the field. The palette aligns as Bronze-gold body against burgundy-purple-black atmosphere; pink, orange, and green splatter accents; dense glitter on the figure, carrying Monumental flesh as auction folklore—intimate, abrasive, and unapologetically vast. Michael Andrew Law stopped before the surface turned polite; drips, splatter, and bare canvas breaks keep the re-imagined masterpiece honest to twenty-first-century nerves. Michael Andrew Law thinks the super-scale format—here at 190×195 cm—suits lobbies, private museums, and collector walls that can host a single thundering dialogue with art history. Michael Andrew Law paints a Sparkling Expressive Julian Schnabel goes Pop Old Masters glitter history painting with mirror pigment and graffiti keywords for monumental collector wall, in oil, acrylic, glitter, and graffiti on canvas at 200×210 cm. The work re-imagines Richard Prince's Spiritual America ft. Brooke Shields from the canon of human image-making: Richard Prince's Spiritual America is quoted: a young Brooke Shields figure on a staged beach set, re-painted through glittered flesh tones and expressionist smear. White and red handwritten notes cite Prince, appropriation, and 1980s New York photo-history; splattered ground frames the controversial icon. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Richard Prince, Spiritual America, Brooke Shields, appropriation, 1980s surface as handwritten graffiti across the field. The palette aligns as Warm tan skin against cool grey-blue studio haze; white graffiti, red drips, and scattered gold glitter, carrying Cool provocation turned history lesson—knowing, uneasy, and deliberately unpretty. In the studio, Michael Andrew Law projected select master signatures when accuracy mattered, then buried them under glitter and handwriting so reverence and vandalism would share the same breath. Michael Andrew Law thinks the super-scale format—here at 200×210 cm—suits lobbies, private museums, and collector walls that can host a single thundering dialogue with art history. Michael Andrew Law paints a Sparkling Expressive Julian Schnabel goes Pop Old Masters glitter history painting with mirror pigment and graffiti keywords for monumental collector wall, in oil, acrylic, and glitter on canvas at 200×200 cm. The work re-imagines Amedeo Modigliani's La belle romaine & Nu couché from the canon of human image-making: Modigliani's elongated Belle romaine and Nu couché merge in one field: almond eyes, arched neck, and cinnamon bodies stacked in Law's glittered impasto. Handwritten names—Modigliani, Paris, Montparnasse, limestone—circle the figures under diagonal colour washes. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Modigliani, La belle romaine, Nu couché, Montparnasse, Paris surface as handwritten graffiti across the field. The palette aligns as Ochre and sienna bodies against cobalt and magenta grounds; white drips; gold and silver glitter pockets, carrying Bohemian elegy with champagne static—tender, decadent, and slightly fatal. Michael Andrew Law treated the series as If Schnabel goes Pop: plate-smash energy, catalogue scholarship, and Hong Kong-scale appetite for spectacle in one wall. Michael Andrew Law thinks the super-scale format—here at 200×200 cm—suits lobbies, private museums, and collector walls that can host a single thundering dialogue with art history. Michael Andrew Law paints a Sparkling Expressive Julian Schnabel goes Pop Old Masters glitter history painting with mirror pigment and graffiti keywords for monumental collector wall, in oil, acrylic, and glitter on canvas at 200×200 cm. The work re-imagines Édouard Manet's Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe from the canon of human image-making: Manet's Déjeuner sur l'herbe is collided into one glittering picnic: nude woman, dressed men, and still-life fruit read through expressive brush and graffiti. Greens and flesh tones fight neon scribbles naming Manet, Paris, Salon des Refusés, and the shocked public. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Manet, Déjeuner sur l'herbe, 1863, Salon, Paris, picnic surface as handwritten graffiti across the field. The palette aligns as Forest green shade, sunlit cream skin, black frock coats, and hot pink-yellow splatter; glitter across foliage, carrying Picnic scandal as summer festival—mocking, luminous, and historically cheeky. Michael Andrew Law let graffiti keywords crawl across the ground like footnotes from a fever—dates, cities, muses, auction houses—so the famous subject would feel researched and ridiculed at once. Michael Andrew Law thinks the super-scale format—here at 200×200 cm—suits lobbies, private museums, and collector walls that can host a single thundering dialogue with art history. Earthy figure with white impasto highlights sits inside pink, blue, yellow, and green splatter; glitter catches every auction name. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Michael Andrew Law built the image in oil and acrylic first, then showered glitter as a second skin—each flake a mirror so whoever stands before the canvas is written into the history painting. Where the source artist's mark matters, Michael Andrew Law used a projector to trace an accurate Steve McCurry signature before overpainting the field. Michael Andrew Law thinks the super-scale format—here at 200×200 cm—suits lobbies, private museums, and collector walls that can host a single thundering dialogue with art history.

Michael Andrew Law paints a Sparkling Expressive Julian Schnabel goes Pop Old Masters glitter history painting with mirror pigment and graffiti keywords for monumental collector wall, in oil, acrylic, glitter, and graffiti on canvas at 200×200 cm. The work re-imagines Van F'n Gogh's The F'n Starry Night from the canon of human image-making: Van Gogh's Starry Night swirls under all-over glitter: cypress, village, and eleven stars preserved but vandalised with pink graffiti "Vincent," De sterrennacht, and Law's name. Thick impasto ridges and rainbow glitter speckle every wave. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Van Gogh, Starry Night, De sterrennacht, Vincent, 1889 surface as handwritten graffiti across the field. The palette aligns as Cobalt night, cadmium stars, black-green cypress, neon pink text, polychrome glitter, carrying Postcard genius turned rock concert—ecstatic, dizzy, and sincerely irreverent. Michael Andrew Law paints a Sparkling Expressive Julian Schnabel goes Pop Old Masters glitter history painting with mirror pigment and graffiti keywords for monumental collector wall, in oil, acrylic, glitter, and graffiti on canvas at 155×155 cm. The work re-imagines The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dalí from the canon of human image-making: Dalí's melting-clock era is summoned: gold Dalí face upper right, giant silver glitter "Dalí" across centre, bands of blue and yellow, and notes on La persistència de la memòria, MoMA 1934, and camembert surrealism. Michael Andrew Law positions the panel inside Sparkling Expressive : What If Julian Schnabel goes Pop with Old Masters Art—his history-painting suite where glitter acts as modern pigment and every shard reflects the viewer back into the scene. Dalí, Persistence of Memory, Surrealism, MoMA, clocks surface as handwritten graffiti across the field. The palette aligns as Cerulean sky band, cadmium yellow, black base, silver metallic lettering, red drips, carrying Surrealist PR as cathedral graffiti—theatrical, witty, and self-mythologizing. Michael Andrew Law treated the series as If Schnabel goes Pop: plate-smash energy, catalogue scholarship, and Hong Kong-scale appetite for spectacle in one wall. Where the source artist's mark matters, Michael Andrew Law used a projector to trace an accurate metallic Dalí signature before overpainting the field.
