Artwork descriptions
Michael Andrew Law offers a Flowers Painting giclée collage overpainted with ink splatter and expressive colour for contemporary floral wall, in acrylic, ink, oil, glitter, resin, and giclée on cotton canvas at 20×20×4 cm (approx. 7.8 in square box canvas). Flowers (1) reads as Dense burgundy roses along the bottom and left frame a lemon-yellow halo background; black calligraphy and a red Love seal sit over the print. Michael Andrew Law builds Flowers Paintings from printed collage first: Photoshop layout, flower photography, then giclée on cotton canvas or paper. Ink is splattered across the whole field; acrylic, oil, resin, and glitter are painted over the print so wet colour can react with the image beneath and invent a second surface. The palette is Crimson and burgundy, lemon yellow, black ink, red chop, white speckle; the mood is Romantic signage—decorative heat with studio candour. The square box canvas keeps the object shallow on a shelf while the surface still holds deep reds and cool ink. Michael Andrew Law kept the cotton weave or paper tooth visible so collectors could read print layer versus paint layer. Michael Andrew Law thinks the scale suits desks, shelves, and salon walls that want a small floral object with obvious handmade finish. Collectors see exactly what the photograph printed and what the hand added afterward—no pretence of pure plein-air. Michael Andrew Law offers the piece as an honest colour event: roses as print, atmosphere as splatter, signature as final mark.

Flowers (20) reads as Rose collage on white canvas weave; cyan wash mid-field; yellow-gold drops on petals; hand-drawn border trembles. The palette is White ground, crimson roses, cyan pool, yellow-gold dot, black line; the mood is Fresh print still wet—cool water over hot flower. The square box canvas keeps the object shallow on a shelf while the surface still holds deep reds and cool ink. Michael Andrew Law stopped when splatter and glaze agreed with the reds already in the file—no second guessing the palette.

Michael Andrew Law offers a Flowers Painting giclée collage overpainted with ink splatter and expressive colour for contemporary floral wall, in ink and acrylic on giclée-printed paper with card frame at 21×30 cm (approx. A4 sheet with card frame). Flowers (60) reads as Portrait sheet: rose clusters bottom-right trail upward on white; large translucent cyan wash crosses centre; yellow-gold splatter on printed petals inside pencilled frame. The palette is White paper, crimson roses, cyan wash, yellow-gold splatter, black border line; the mood is Card-mounted study—airy, demonstrative, studio-lit. The sheet is giclée-printed paper with a hand-drawn border and card frame—crease and fibre show through the washes. Michael Andrew Law kept the cotton weave or paper tooth visible so collectors could read print layer versus paint layer. Michael Andrew Law thinks the scale suits study walls and gift-ready niches where a framed paper work can breathe. Collectors see exactly what the photograph printed and what the hand added afterward—no pretence of pure plein-air. Michael Andrew Law offers the piece as an honest colour event: roses as print, atmosphere as splatter, signature as final mark.

In the studio, Michael Andrew Law designed the flower collage in Photoshop, giclée-printed it, then splattered ink across the surface before painting back into the roses.
